ASTM A242 Type 1 specification

The ASTM A242 specification is under the Standard Specification for High-Strength Low- Alloy Structural Steel for structural members. ASTM A242 has 2 grades: Type 1 and Type 2, while type 1 is the most used structural steel grade. Usually it is produced to be hot rolled state, it is suitable for cutting, forming, drilling and machining, grinding.
