What is A204 Gr.B Plate ?

ASTM A204 specification covers molybdenum alloy steel plates, intended particularly for welded boilers and other pressure vessels. Plates under this specification are available in three grades having different strength levels: Grade A; Grade B; and Grade C. The steel shall be killed. The steel shall conform to the chemical requirements specified. Tension tests on plates shall conform to the requirements specified.
Mo-Alloy steel plate SA204 Grade A,SA204 Grade B, SA204 Grade C, A204 Grade A, A204 Grade B,A204 Grade C which are under steel specification ASME SA204 / SA204M and ASTM A204 / A204M.

Dimensions of A204 Grade B Steel Plates:
Thickness from 5mm to 150mm
Width: from 1,500mm to 2,500mm
Length: from 6,000mm to 12,000mm
A204 Gr.B Plate Technical conditions
1) Ultrasonic tested as per SA 578 or any other as per requirement
2) MTC acc to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2
3) Charpy Impact tested at -20 / – 46 DegC.
4) Furnace Normalised
5) BQ Plates with IBR form IV
